David Pozo, Ph.D. 2013, is an engineer with expertise in Electrical Engineering from the University of Castilla–La Mancha, Spain. Since 2022, David has served as a Scientific Officer at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre. In this role, he conducts research on resource adequacy assessment and methods. From 2017 to 2022, David held a position as an Assistant Professor at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology. Prior to this, he gained experience through Postdoctoral Fellow positions at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
David has contributed over a hundred scientific publications to prestigious journals and conferences. His research interests span power and energy systems, operations research, uncertainty, game theory, electricity markets, and optimization and flexibility challenges in modern power systems. Pozo’s research activities aim to bridge the gap between science and policy design while addressing the complexities and challenges presented by future sustainable energy systems.
