Technical committeeTypeAcronymIEC TR 62059-21:2002CommitteePublished year2002Description
Describes methods for the collection and analysis of field failure data of static electricity metering equipment using field failure reports and sampling plans. To make results comparable, definitions of equipment complexity and classification of failures are given. A failure reporting form is provided in annex A. This publication is of high relevance for Smart Grid.

This technical report provides definitions of terms used in present and future standards on electrical energy measurement, prepared by IEC TC 13. These terms cover electrical energy measurement, tariff and load control, and customer/utility information exchange systems. The report includes terms on Distribution Automation Systems not covered by IEC 60050(371). The report also covers terms on customer/utility information exchange, electricity prepayment systems, and dependablility of electricity metering equipment.

Technical committeeTypeAcronymIEC TR 62051-1:2004CommitteePublished year2004Description
Reflects the most important terms used in International Standards after the publication of IEC 62051 in 1999. The new terms are mainly related to data exchange with metering equipment for meter reading, tariff and load control using DLMS/COSEM as specified in the IEC 62056 series of standards. The contents of the corrigendum of June 2006 have been included in this copy. This publication is of high relevance for Smart Grid.

Technical committeeTypeAcronymIEC 62059-31-1:2008CommitteePublished year2008Description
IEC 62059-31-1:2008 provides one of several possible methods for estimating product life characteristics by accelerated reliability testing. In this standard, elevated, constant temperature and humidity is applied to achieve acceleration. The method takes into account the effect of voltage and current variation. It is applicable to all types of metering equipment for energy measurement, tariff and load control in the scope of IEC TC 13. The method given in this standard may be used for estimating (with given confidence limits) product life characteristics of such equipment prior to and during serial production. This method may also be used to compare different designs. The contents of the corrigendum of December 2008 have been included in this copy. This publication is of high relevance for Smart Grid.

IEC 62058-31:2008 specifies particular requirements for acceptance inspection of newly manufactured direct connected or transformer operated static meters for active energy (classes 0,2 S, 0,5 S, 1 and 2) delivered in lots in quantities above 50. The method of acceptance of smaller lots should be agreed upon by the manufacturer and the customer. This publication is of high relevance for Smart Grid.

IEC 62054-11:2004+A1:2016(E) Specifies particular requirements for the type test of newly manufactured indoor electronic ripple control receivers for the reception and interpretation of pulses of a single audio frequency superimposed on the voltage of the electricity distribution network and for the execution of the corresponding switching operations. In this system the mains frequency is generally used to synchronize the transmitter and receivers. Neither the control frequency nor the encoding are standardized in this standard. This publication is of high relevance for Smart Grid. This consolidated version consists of the first edition (2004) and its amendment 1 (2016). Therefore, no need to order amendment in addition to this publication. The contents of the corrigendum of March 2018 have been included in this copy.
