    Description

    IEC 62504:2014+A1:2018 is of assistance in the common understanding of terms and definitions, relevant for general lighting with LED technology. The terms included are those already available in IEC LED standards or used in manufacturers' literature. This standard provides descriptive terms (like "LED light sources") and measurable terms when modified from IEC 60050-845 (like "colour rendering index"). This first edition cancels and replaces the IEC TS 62504 published in 2011. The significant changes with respect to IEC TS 62504 are as follows:
    a) Terms from the International Electrotechnical Vocabulary that have not been modified are deleted;
    b) Alignment with the CIE has been done;
    c) An introduction has been added. This consolidated version consists of the first edition (2014) and its amendment 1 (2018). Therefore, no need to order amendment in addition to this publication.

    Description

    IEC 62493:2015 applies to the assessment of lighting equipment related to human exposure to electromagnetic fields. The assessment consists of the induced internal electric field for frequencies from 20 kHz to 10 MHz and the specific absorption rate (SAR) for frequencies from 100 kHz to 300 MHz around lighting equipment. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 2009. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:
    a) identification of lighting product types deemed to comply with the standard without the need for test;
    b) deletion of the need for CISPR-15-compliance as a prerequisite for IEC 62493 compliance;
    c) inclusion of the consequences of the ICNIPR 2010 guidelines for (up to 100 kHz);
    d) adding some guidance to the Van der Hoofden test head method to improve reproducibility of results;
    e) inclusion of compliance demonstration method for products having intentional radiators.

    Description

    IEC 62386-101:2014+A1:2018 is applicable to system components in a bus system for control by digital signals of electronic lighting equipment. This electronic lighting equipment should be in line with the requirements of IEC 61347, with the addition of d.c. supplies. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 2009. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:
    a) collection of all bus timing requirements defined in IEC 62386-101:2009 and IEC 62386-102:2009 and rework of the timing requirements to facilitate the preparation of a future control devices standard, taking particular account of the requirements for multi-master systems. The 10 % tolerances have been replaced by minimum and maximum timing values;
    b) integration of multi-master timing requirements;
    c) extension of the defined forward frames;
    d) addition of wiring requirements;
    e) improvement of the bus power supply requirements;
    f) improvement of test sequences and description of the test sequences in the form of pseudo code instead of flow charts. This consolidated version consists of the first edition (2014) and its amendment 1 (2018). Therefore, no need to order amendment in addition to this publication.

    This publication is to be read in conjunction with IEC 62386-102:2014.

    Description

    IEC 62035:2014+A1:2016 specifies the safety requirements for discharge lamps (excluding fluorescent lamps) for general lighting purposes. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 1999, AMD1:2003 and AMD2:2012. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition. Photobiological safety requirements are taken care of on basis of the risk group concept of IEC 62471 and the technical report IEC TR 62778 on blue light hazard. This has consequences for terms, marking, structure of 4.6, and introduction of a new symbol "Caution, do not stare at light source". Special attention is given to blue light hazard. This bilingual version (2016-11) corresponds to the monolingual English version, published in 2014-04. The French version of this standard has not been voted upon.
    This consolidated version consists of the second edition (2014) and its amendment 1 (2016). Therefore, no need to order amendment in addition to this publication.
