    Description

    IEC 61400-12-1:2017 RLV contains both the official IEC International Standard and its Redline version. The Redline version is available in English only and provides you with a quick and easy way to compare all the changes between the official IEC Standard and its previous edition. IEC 61400-12-1:2017 specifies a procedure for measuring the power performance characteristics of a single wind turbine and applies to the testing of wind turbines of all types and sizes connected to the electrical power network. In addition, this standard describes a procedure to be used to determine the power performance characteristics of small wind turbines (as defined in IEC 61400-2) when connected to either the electric power network or a battery bank. The procedure can be used for performance evaluation of specific wind turbines at specific locations, but equally the methodology can be used to make generic comparisons between different wind turbine models or different wind turbine settings when site-specific conditions and data filtering influences are taken into account. This new edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: new definition of wind speed, inclusion of wind shear and wind veer, revision of air density correction, revision of site calibration, revision to definition of power curve, interpolation to bin centre method, revision of obstacle model, etc. Key words: Wind turbines, Wind energy, renewable energy, performance, efficiency. The contents of the corrigendum of September 2019 and March 2020 have been included in this copy.

    Description

    IEC 61400-11:2012+A1:2018 presents measurement procedures that enable noise emissions of a wind turbine to be characterised. This involves using measurement methods appropriate to noise emission assessment at locations close to the machine, in order to avoid errors due to sound propagation, but far away enough to allow for the finite source size. The procedures described are different in some respects from those that would be adopted for noise assessment in community noise studies. They are intended to facilitate characterisation of wind turbine noise with respect to a range of wind speeds and directions. Standardisation of measurement procedures will also facilitate comparisons between different wind turbines. This new edition constitutes a technical revision, introducing new principles for data reduction procedures. This consolidated version consists of the third edition (2012) and its amendment 1 (2018). Therefore, no need to order amendment in addition to this publication.The contents of the corrigendum of October 2019 have been included in this copy.

    IEC 61400-1:2019 specifies essential design requirements to ensure the structural integrity of wind turbines. Its purpose is to provide an appropriate level of protection against damage from all hazards during the planned lifetime. This document is concerned with all subsystems of wind turbines such as control and protection functions, internal electrical systems, mechanical systems and support structures. This document applies to wind turbines of all sizes. For small wind turbines, IEC 61400-2 can be applied. IEC 61400-3-1 provides additional requirements to offshore wind turbine installations. This document is intended to be used together with the appropriate IEC and ISO standards mentioned in Clause 2. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:
    a) general update and clarification of references and requirements;
    b) extension of wind turbine classes to allow for tropical cyclones and high turbulence;
    c) Weibull distribution of turbulence standard deviation for normal turbulence model (NTM);
    d) updated design load cases (DLCs), in particular DLC 2.1 and 2.2;
    e) revision of partial safety factor specifications

    Description

    IEC 61378-3:2015 provides information to users about specific topics related to industrial and HVDC converter transformers with design, construction, testing and operating conditions differing from conventional transformers used in power systems. In addition, it is the aim of the present part of IEC 61378 to provide manufacturers with the technical background that forms the basis for the principles used within IEC 61378-1 and IEC 61378-2. It is intended that this part of IEC 61378 is used to supplement and not replace or supersede the application guide for power transformers, IEC 60076-8, since many of the general principles contained within it are equally applicable to converter transformers. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 2006 and constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:
    a) revision of clause on losses to reflect the changes introduced by the second edition of IEC 61378-1;
    b) addition of a new clause about design review of converter transformer for both industrial and HVDC applications;
    c) addition of content for transformer connected to voltage source converters;
    d) reference to the work of CIGRE JWG A2/B4.28 on HVDC transformers.

    Description

    IEC 61362:2012 includes relevant technical data necessary to describe hydraulic turbine governing systems and to define their performance. It is aimed at unifying and thus facilitating the selection of relevant parameters in bidding specifications and technical bids. It will also serve as a basis for setting up technical guarantees. The scope of this standard is restricted to the turbine governing level. Additionally some remarks about the control loops of the plant level and about primary and secondary frequency control (see also Annex B) are made for better understanding without making a claim to be complete. Important topics covered are:
    - speed, power, water level, opening and flow (discharge) control for reaction and impulse-type turbines including double regulated machines;
    - means of providing actuating energy;
    - safety devices for emergency shutdown.
    To facilitate the setting up of specifications, this guide also includes data sheets, which are to be filled out by the customer and the supplier in the various stages of the project and the contract. Acceptance tests, specific test procedures and guarantees are outside the scope of the guide; those topics are covered by IEC 60308. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 1998. It is a technical revision. It takes into account the experience with the guide during the last decade as well as the progress in the state of the art of the underlying technologies. Keywords: Hydraulic turbine, Hydraulic turbine governing systems.

    Description

    IEC 61360-2:2012 provides a formal model for data according to the scope as given in IEC 61360-1 and ISO 13584-42. It provides a means for the computer-sensible representation and exchange of such data, allowing for the implementation of dictionary systems dealing with data delivered according to either of the standards. This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition published in 2002, and its Amendment 1 (2003). It is a technical revision. It includes the following significant technical changes:
    - separation of concepts between characterization class and categorization class;
    - introduction of value constraints on classes and properties;
    - addition of various new subtypes for data types, including rational_type;
    - improvement on the representation of unit of measurement.
    IEC 61360-4, IEC reference collection of standard data element types and component classes, can be accessed from IEC CDD (Common Data Dictionary) Free access to Database.
