    Description

    IEC TS 61400-25-71:2019 focus on the communications between wind power plant components such as wind turbines and actors such as SCADA systems. Non-IEC 61850/IEC 61400-25 internal communication within wind power plant components is outside the normative scope of the IEC 61400-25 series. This document describes how to extend the IEC 61400-25 series with the IEC 618506 Substation Configuration description Language (SCL) file format for describing communication-related Intelligent Electronic Device (IED) configurations of a wind turbine, wind power plant controller, meteorological mast, etc. The extension of SCL to the wind domain is intended to simplify integration of wind power plant equipment for clients, as well as their integration to the electrical system. The adoption of SCL allows formalised tool-based exchange of IED parameters, communication system configurations, switch yard (function) structures, as well as description of the relations between them. The purpose of this format is to formally and efficiently exchange wind turbine and wind power plant IED capability descriptions, and system descriptions between IED engineering tools and the system engineering tool(s) of different manufacturers in a compatible way. The file format is also intended to provide report configuration and alarms as well as HMI interface information from a wind power plant. This information can be used to engineer overlying SCADA systems for the site, for connected DSO, or TSO, or for fleet operators' maintenance and surveillance systems. Finally, the SCL is intended as a documentation of the configuration and topology of the delivered system.

    Description

    IEC TS 60904-1-2:2019 describes procedures for the measurement of the current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of bifacial photovoltaic devices in natural or simulated sunlight. It is applicable to single PV cells, sub-assemblies of such cells or entire PV modules This document may be applicable to PV devices designed for use under concentrated irradiation if they are measured without the optics for concentration, and irradiated using direct normal irradiance and a mismatch correction with respect to a direct normal reference spectrum is performed. This document describes the additional requirements for the measurement of I-V characteristics of bifacial PV devices.

    Description

    IEC TS 60079-46:2017 specifies requirements for the design, construction, assembly, testing, inspection, marking, documenting and assessment of equipment assemblies for use in explosive atmospheres under the responsibility of the manufacturer of the equipment assembly. The requirements of this document apply to individual items according to the IEC 60079 series or ISO 80079 series that comprise the assembly and that have individual certificates. These individual items are then integrated as part of the equipment assembly. Also included are requirements to address aspects for the assembly which may be beyond the certificates of the individual items forming the assembly. The scope of this document includes assessment of the additional requirements for assemblies for hazardous areas and does not include requirements for non-hazardous areas. It is assumed that compliance with other electrical or mechanical requirements that are applicable for non-hazardous areas will be verified by either the same or different party in addition to the requirements of this document. This document does not apply to:
    - equipment which is covered, in its entirety, by one or more IEC 60079 and ISO 80079 equipment types of protection;
    - pressurized rooms, “p”, in accordance with IEC 60079-13, artificial ventilation for the protection of analyzer(s) houses in accordance with IEC TR 60079-16, and other standards addressing specific Ex assemblies;
    - installation at the end-user site under the scope of IEC 60079-14;
    - classification of the hazardous area;
    - equipment assemblies for mines susceptible to firedamp (Group I applications);
    - inherently explosive situations and dust from explosives or pyrophoric substances (for example explosives manufacturing and processing);
    - rooms used for medical purposes;
    - electrical installations in areas where the hazard is due to flammable mist.
    The specification is only intended to provide validation for the initial supply of an assembly.

    Description

    IEC TS 60079-32-1:2013+A1:2017 gives guidance about the equipment, product and process properties necessary to avoid ignition and electrostatic shock hazards arising from static electricity as well as the operational requirements needed to ensure safe use of the equipment, product or process. It can be used in a risk assessment of electrostatic hazards or for the preparation of product family or dedicated product standards for electrical or non-electrical machines or equipment. The purpose of this document is to provide standard recommendations for the control of static electricity, such as earthing of conductors, reduction of charging and restriction of chargeable areas of insulators. In some cases static electricity plays an integral part of a process, e.g. electrostatic coating, but often it is an unwelcome side effect and it is with the latter that this guidance is concerned. If the standard recommendations given in this document are fulfilled it can be expected that the risk of hazardous electrostatic discharges in an explosive atmosphere is at an acceptably low level. This consolidated version of the official IEC Standard and its amendment consists of the first edition (2013) and its amendment 1 (2017). Therefore, no need to order amendment in addition to this publication.

    IEC TS 60076-23:2018(E) specifies requirements for devices for the suppression of DC magnetic bias of power transformers and convertor transformers. It includes requirements for service conditions, structures, testing, packing, transport and storage.
    The devices are connected to neutral points of power transformers and converter transformers to suppress DC bias current in the case an HVDC system is operated in monopole ground return mode or bipolar unbalanced mode. In the case of dedicated metallic return HVDC system, the devices are useful to mitigate DC stray current flowing through power transformers and converter transformers during transient conditions such as DC line fault.
    This document applies to DC magnetic bias suppression devices for operation at frequencies of 50 Hz and 60 Hz on power systems having voltages above 110 kV.
