The event will be the occasion to hear the results from the OSMOSE demos and to share relevant activities performed by Smart Grids members. A special time is dedicated to open discussion and questions to foster the interaction between workshop participants and the speakers. The scope During the workshop will be presented and discussed innovative technologies and solutions aimed to enhance the system flexibility. The results of the OSMOSE project, dealing with several research and innovation challenges to enhance the flexibility of transmission grids and different experiences of EERA JP SG members will be presented and will constitute the basis for an open discussion. In particular, the workshop will the occasion to: ❖ disseminate the lessons learnt in the demos and modelling work of the OSMOSE project; ❖ discuss the preliminary results with the representatives of the EU research community; ❖ compare lessons learnt and already achieved results with the experiences gathered by other RTO; ❖ identify future research and innovation needs in future research and innovations projects and associations’ roadmaps and standardisation working groups (ETIP SNET, ENTSO-E) Online pantera admin@example.com UTC public

It has served the economy and society brilliantly but is not sustainable for modern times due to its one-way architecture from the power plant to the consumer. Smart Grids offer a bi-directional way of exchange of electricity and information between sources and consumers, and the devices they power, adding flexibility as a result. They are digital, foster renewable energy sources, energy efficiency and electrification of end-users. Moreover, they enable the decentralized operation of energy systems that is crucial to efficiently manage renewable energy sources. To unleash all the benefits smart grids can offer, well-skilled experts must be trained. The MOST project lies in the center of energy transition – the highly innovative master course is designed to equip tomorrow’s experts with competencies crucial for the next step towards clean energy. The MOST Consortium invites you to save the date – book your calendars now to join our Closing Event on 13 December 2021, from 14:00 to 16.00 (CET). The conference will mark the end of the MOST project and look back on its results.   Online pantera admin@example.com UTC public

However, the following areas are still a concern in achieving carbon neutrality: R&I activities in the field are weak, calling for more national and European support to raise opportunities, bring closer to the wealth of EU knowledge and offer the means to address local needs with the support of the industry and broader communities. Enabling technologies like digitalization, storage, smart grids and reliable communications are not adequately addressed to facilitate the much wanted transition for the effective use of emerging technologies that include distributed RES, e-mobility with smart charging and V2G attributes and demand flexibility. End-users and citizens are not adequately empowered. This can be done through codes, appropriate regulations and market instruments to build and operate effective energy management systems, utilizing emerging technologies to grow into efficient energy communities with appropriate technologies to facilitate the optimal use of local resources for the benefit of the citizens. To this end, PANTERA and SUPEERA project joined forces in this co-organised workshop at the Splitech conference to address the above-mentioned areas of concern by bringing together stakeholders in the field of smart grids, storage and local energy systems.   Online/Split and Bol (Croatia) pantera admin@example.com UTC public
