COTEVOS

Project full name:
Concepts, Capacities and Methods for Testing EV systems and their interOperability within the Smartgrids
COTEVOS designed and established the optimal laboratory infrastructure and capabilities for the interoperability assessment of devices, tools and services belonging to the electric vehicle (EV) and the smart grid systems.

WiseGRID

Project full name:
Wide scale demonstration of Integrated Solutions for European SmartGrid
WiseGRID will provide a set of solutions and technologies to increase the smartness, stability and security of an open, consumer-centric European energy grid.

NOBEL GRID

NOBEL GRID will provide advanced tools and ICT services to all actors in the Smart Grid and retail electricity market in order to ensure benefits from cheaper prices, more secure and stable grids and clean electricity. NOBEL GRID results will be tested in real conditions in five different electric cooperatives and non-profit demonstration sites in five EU members’ states: The electric cooperative of Alginet (Spain) The renewable energy cooperative Ecopower in Flanders (Belgium) acts as renewable generator and supplier cooperative. The cooperative Carbon-coop in Manchester (UK). The pu

ERIGrid

Project full name:
European Research Infrastructure supporting Smart Grid Systems Technology Development, Validation and Roll Out
Renewable energy sources are key enablers in the endeavor to decrease greenhouse gas emissions and cope with the anthropogenic global warming. The intermittent behaviour of renewable energy sources and their limited storage capabilities present new challenges to power system operators in the maintenance of power quality and reliability. However, the increased availability of advanced automation and communication technologies has also provided new intelligent solutions to meet these challenges.

TRANSFORM

Project full name:
Transformation Agenda for Low Carbon Cities
TRANSFORM provides insight into smart city processes and methodologies for cities how to arrive at smart energy plans and executable projects, based upon stakeholder co-creation. This done by developing methods, sharing best practices, sharing visions, sharing solutions and breaking down barriers that block initiatives in order to reach these extensive and ambitious targets. TRANSFORM goes further than only ambitions and aims, and will define actions to be taken in the TRANSFORM cities and other cities within Europe to reach climate goals.

Green-ME

Enhance RES integration by implementing automation, control and monitoring systems in HV and HV/MV substations, advanced communicating with the renewable generators and storage in primary substations.

City Opt

Develop a bunch of applications and recommendations to guide conception, renovation and management of energy systems in cities.

IndustRE

Project full name:
Innovative Business Models for Market Uptake of Renewable Electricity unlocking the potential for flexibility in the Industrial Electricity Use
The flexibility of the industrial electricity demand has been identified as a potential that through innovative business models can facilitate further growth of variable renewable energy, while reducing the industrial electricity costs and contributing to the European energy policy goals. In this project the large industry is working with the renewable energy community to identify and implement business models for supplying variable renewable electricity to industrial users with flexibility in their demand, creating win-win situations.

NOBEL GRID

Project full name:
New Cost Efficient Business Models for Flexible Smart Grids
Nobel Grid objective is to provide new tools and ICT services for all actors of the electricity distribution grid and retail market, providing more secure and stable Smart Grids and cleaner and affordable energy. Nobel Grid began on January 1, 2015, and is planned to have a duration of 42 months.

SMARTSPACES

Project full name:
Saving Energy in Europe’s Public Buildings Using ICT
In SMARTSPACES, ICT-based services for public buildings have been evaluated across Europe. Almost 600 buildings were equipped with the ICT-solution. The services are designed to evaluate the impact on overall energy consumption in public buildings (non-residential). Energy efficiency investments are a cost-effective means for decreasing energy consumption, reducing energy bills and reducing the likelihood for energy poverty. The SMARTSPACES solution offers Energy Management (EMS) and energy Decision Support and Awareness services (EDSS). The solution is based on ICT and smart metering.
