IRENE

Project full name:
Integration of renewable energies and e-mobility
The pilot project for the 'Integration of renewable energies and e-mobility' (IRENE) aims to identify technical and business solutions to enable distribution network operators to feed power from fluctuating decentralized renewable energy sources into the grid. One fundamental part of the research project is a self-organizing energy automation system for which Siemens is implementing newly developed software.

NEMO

Project full name:
Novel E-MObility Grid Model
The project team’s goal is to develop the NEMO simulation and optimisation tool suite to assess the impact of a large number of EVs on the power grid. The tool suite will be based on the existing complementary simulation tools PLATOS, SimTOOL and energyPRO from the project’s core partners DNV KEMA, Fraunhofer ISE and EMD. These tools will be further extended for grid impact of EVs, and a framework will be developed to integrate these tools in a cooperative suite for impact studies on all grid voltage levels.

SMS&CHARGE

Project full name:
Sms&charge
The sms & batch project is developing a charging system for electric vehicles, which controls the charging process over the phone and bills. In addition to greatly simplify the authorization and settlement on the mobile phone is also reducing the costs for the accounting process and the charging infrastructure at the center.

LOKSMART - Lokale smart grids JETZT

Project full name:
LOKSMART - Lokale smart grids JETZT!
The project 'Local smart grids NOW! Develops solutions for the local use of combined heat and power systems and small wind turbines in combination with electrical buffers and electric vehicles.During the project, the following work is planned:- Analysis and forecast of Use Potent ring road- Analysis and forecast of the market Potent ring road- Modeling of the control and memory function- Development of a cogeneration and / or small wind-powered charging station for electric vehicles- Development of a bidrektionalen quick charge option with optional buffer memory for this charging station

Smart Wheels

Project full name:
Smart Wheels
Smart Wheels develops and tests business models and ICT-solutions for the diffusion of e-mobility by the integration into the “Internet of Energy” and the infrastructure of municipal utilities. The program „ICT for electric mobility“ offers great chances. Not only regarding the required CO-2 reduction, but also in reference to a secured energy supply and the load management of power grids. The integration of e-mobility with the energy system allows the use of vehicle batteries as a big distributed storage to balance the generation- and load-fluctuation.

GridSurfer

Project full name:
Land in Sicht: Inter-urbane Integration von Elektrofahrzeugen in Energiesys-teme, Batteriewechsel inklusive
In the GridSurfer project, NEXT ENERGY studied the integration of electromobility into the existing traffic and grid systems. The project took place in the rural area of Oldenburg and Bremen. On the one hand, we wanted to prove the reasonable use of electric vehicles. On the other hand, we tried to analyse the potential of implementing electric vehicle batteries as a stabilising factor into the electricity grid. Among other things, we investigated the so called vehicle-to-grid concept (V2G).

Smart-Immo

Project full name:
Smart-Immo
The Smart Immo Project issue is a Smart box for data collection and analysis coming from different tools and for a better building management monitoring

BESOS

Project full name:
Building Energy decision Support systems fOr Smart cities
BESOS proposes the development of an advanced, integrated, management system which enables energy efficiency in smart cities from a holistic perspective. To that end, the Energy Management Systems deployed in a typical district that are consuming or producing energy, and which nowadays normally count with an isolated IT management solution, will be able to share data and services through and open trustworthy platform among themselves and to external third party applications. This enables the design and development of higher level applications –i.e.

ELECTRA

Project full name:
European Liaison on Electricity Committed Towards long-term Research Activities for Smart Grids.
The ELECTRA Integrated Research Programme on Smart Grids (ELECTRA) brings together the partners of the EERA Joint Programme on Smart Grids (JP SG) to reinforce and accelerate Europe’s medium to long term research cooperation in this area and to drive a closer integration of the research programmes of the participating organisations and of the related national programmes. ELECTRA’s joint research activity and collaborative support actions build on an established track record of collaboration and engagement.

Open ECOSPhERE

Project full name:
Enabling open Markets with Grid & Customer-oriented Services for Plug-in Electric Vehicle
Open ecosphere developed service-oriented ICT applications for optimal integration of electric vehicles into the power systems using renewable energies. The energy management system thus created is complemented by the development of ICT-enabled services, such as comfort with new payment method or new reservation system.
