EcoLink

Project full name:
EcoLink to make the smart grid
The major utilities will closely monitor the program EcoLink S2E2 pole (Science and systems of electric power). Pinned in 2008 for its strategic mistakes, the cluster-based regional Centre plays big in this case. EcoLink aims to promote smart grid (Smart Grid) to better control the production of electricity, especially during peak hours, optimizing the energy consumption in the residential and tertiary sectors.

ELECTRA

Project full name:
European Liaison on Electricity Committed Towards long-term Research Activities for Smart Grids.
The ELECTRA Integrated Research Programme on Smart Grids (ELECTRA) brings together the partners of the EERA Joint Programme on Smart Grids (JP SG) to reinforce and accelerate Europe’s medium to long term research cooperation in this area and to drive a closer integration of the research programmes of the participating organisations and of the related national programmes. ELECTRA’s joint research activity and collaborative support actions build on an established track record of collaboration and engagement.

INSTINCT

Project full name:
ICT solucitons for active distribution networks and customer interaction
The objective of the project is therefore Optimal design of robust, secure, interoperable and scalable ICT solutions that enable active distribution networks and facilitate new models for customer involvement. Development of the program has the following objectives: Efficient methods for design of robust and interoperable ICT systems Development of new business models involving partners from several industries.

CIPOWER

Project full name:
Controllable and Intelligent Power Components
The route towards a more energy sustainable world goes through an improved energy system on all levels from the producers to the consumers. The technological challenges that need to be addressed to realize the strategic energy objectives are faced in the program Çcontrollable and intelligent power componentsÉ. The objective is to develop innovative power components with advanced control and monitoring that pave the path towards an optimum power transmission and distribution system.

Nice Grid

Project full name:
Nice Grid
The Nice Grid project, located in Carros on the Var plain in the urban community of Nice-Côte d’Azur, aims to set up a “smart” solar district demonstrator. Funded both by the GrandEmprunt (national loan scheme) and European Grid4EU project funds, Nice Grid will takeplace in several zones: residential, industrial and social housing.

INNERS

Project full name:
Innovative Energy Recovery Strategies in the urban water cycle
Improving the energy balance of the urban water cycle. That is the purpose of INNERS, which stands for INNovative Energy Recovery Strategies in the urban water cycle. 11 partners from the Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg think in a new way about the urban water cycle. Not only as a system that transports water, but also as a potential source of energy. Valuable energy which is lost in the current situation.

Smart Cities

Project full name:
Smart Cities
The general aim of the Smart Cities project is to create an innovation network between governments and academic partners leading to excellence in the domain of the development and take-up of e-services, setting a new baseline for e-service delivery in the whole North Sea region.Smart Cities will create: 1.a network of North Sea e-Government leaders with ambitious transformational e-Government Strategies aiming to deliver innovative and excellent public services with documented improved quality of life and enhanced competitiveness;2.an academic and research network which will support and help l

GREAT

Project full name:
GROWING RENEWABLE ENERGY APPLICATIONS AND TECHOLOGIES
The project entitled 'Growing Renewable Energy Applications and Technologies' (GREAT) seeks to accelerate the deployment of Smart Grid systems in North West Europe. The project is designed to stimulate SMEs to develop innovation and create employment by developing synergies between Smart Grids, Renewable Energy technology and Distributive Generation.

smartCEM

Project full name:
smartCEM: Smart Connected Electro Mobility
Four European cities/regions (Barcelona, Gipuzkoa-San Sebastian, Newcastle and Reggio Emilia) have come together to demonstrate the role of ICT solutions for cities and citizens in addressing shortcomings of electro mobility. Electric power solutions have proven to offer a potentially ground-breaking solution for more energy-efficient and less petrol-dependent vehicles and transport systems. The consortium aims to integrate regional initiatives which have been established all over Europe.

Greening European Transportation Infrastructure for Electric Vehicles

Project full name:
Greening European Transportation Infrastructure for Electric Vehicles
The project envisions the analysis, testing and deployment of a multi transport mode network using today’s road infrastructure and railways coupled with an electric car charging network of battery switch stations and charge spots powered by renewable energy along with intelligent transport systems. It is an innovative project that will serve as a technology roadmap for creating a pan European electric car network.
