B.R.I.S.T.O.L.

Project full name:
Buildings, Renewables and Integrated Storage, with Tariffs to Overcome network Limitations
A small project investigating the potential for battery storage in conjunction with PV solar generation to be used within homes, schools and an office to provide network and customer benefits. A variable tariff will be trialled to incentivise customers to use the battery to reduce electricity consumption at peak times.

Automation and security of Supply

Project full name:
Automation and security of Supply
The company in focus has established DSO – Distribution – Control – Surveillance at individual stations. On these 10/0.4 kV stations there is full remote control. with commands. reports. metering and alarms. which in a fault situation makes it possible to quickly gain an overview of the grid status for the medium-voltage grid.

Ashton Hayes Smart Village

Project full name:
Ashton Hayes Smart Village
The objectives of the Smart Village Project are on technical innovation and delivery of information to the community aimed at achieving a sustained reduction in carbon emissions. The scope of the Smart Village Project is: • To facilitate the connection of various micro generation technologies (wind, PV and CHP) and potentially electric vehicle (EV) charging point(s) on the LV network and its 11 kV feeders. • Engagement with the village and community to assist in the reduction and optimisation of total energy consumption to reduce carbon footprint.

ADDRESS

Project full name:
Active Distribution network with full integration of Demand and distributed energy RESourceS
The project aims at delivering a comprehensive commercial and technical framework for the development of “Active Demand” in the smart grids of the future. ADDRESS investigates how to effectively activate participation of domestic and small commercial customers in power system markets and in the provision of services to the different power system participants.

3e-Houses

Project full name:
Saving Energy & the Environment across Europe
3eHouses deals to build the customers into the energy system through ICTs, allowing them to develop or enhance their relationship with the environment by piloting in several social housing buildings the interaction between smart devices and the users. It is a project founded under CIP-ICT-PSP-2009.4.1: ICT for energy efficiency in social housing.

0.4 kV remote control

Project full name:
0.4 kV remote control
Opportunities to establish remote control/DNM of the 0.4 kV grids have been analyzed. The opportunities for integrations from the cable registration to the remote control have been investigated and pilot projects have been performed with integrations of sections of the low-voltage grid. Verdo have analyzed the possibilities of establishing remote / DNM of 0.4 kV network. The possibilities for integrations from line registration for the remote control has been studied and are made pilot projects with integrations of the range of low voltage.
