IMPONET

Project full name:
Intelligent Monitoring of Power Networks
The IMPONET project is scoped to provide essential cornerstones in order to achieve a comprehensive. flexible and configurable information system to support the most complex and advanced requirements in Energy Management. This includes the modelling. design and implementation of the two main targets of IMPONET: power quality monitoring and the remote control and smart metering platform

IHSMAG

Project full name:
Integrating households in the smart grid
IHSMAG studies the integration of households in the smart grid and develops design recommendations.

HiperDNO

Project full name:
High Performance Computing Technologies for Smart Distribution Network Operation
The aim of this research project is to develop a new generation of distribution network management systems that exploits novel near to real-time HPC solutions with inherent security and intelligent communications for smart distribution network operation and management. Cost effective scalable HPC solutions will be developed and initially demonstrated for realistic distribution network data traffic and management scenarios via off-line field trials involving several distribution network owners and operators.

GROW-DERS

Project full name:
Demonstration of Grid Connected Electricity Systems
The GROW-DERS project (Grid Reliability and Operability with Distributed Generation using Flexible Storage) investigates the implementation of (transportable) distributed storage systems in the networks.

Grid4EU

Project full name:
Large-Scale Demonstration of Advanced Smart GRID Solutions with wide Replication and Scalability Potential for EUROPE
GRID4EU is a Large-Scale Demonstration of Advanced Smart Grid Solutions with wide Replication and Scalability Potential for EUROPE. The project is led by six electricity Distribution System Operators (DSOs) from Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Sweden, in close partnership with a set of major electricity retailers, manufacturers and research organizations. As a whole, the consortium gathers 27 partners.ERDF is the Coordinator of the project, while Enel Distribuzione is the Technical Director and Iberdrola Distribución the Chairman of the General Assembly.

Green eMotion

Project full name:
Green eMotion
Green eMotion will connect ongoing regional and national electromobility initiatives leveraging on the results and comparing the different technology approaches to ensure the best solutions prevail for the European market. A virtual marketplace will be created to enable the different actors to interact and to allow for new highvalue transportation services as well as EV-user convenience in billing (EU Clearing House).

GAD

Project full name:
Gestión Activa de la Demanda (Active Demand Management)
The first aim of the GAD Demand Side Management Project is to optimize electrical energy consumption and the its associated costs at domestic level. while meeting consumer needs and maintaining quality standards

G4V

Project full name:
Grid for Vehicles
The project of the G4V consortium will generate fast and openly available results : an analytical framework to evaluate the impact of a large scale introduction on the grid infrastructure and a visionary “road map” for the year 2020 and beyond.

G(E)OGREEN

Project full name:
Optimizing green energy and grid load by geographical steering of energy consumption
Optimizing green energy and grid load by geographical steering of energy consumption.Abstract. Projects aims at bringing another approach to energy balance and overall power system stability. Introducing a concept of mobile consumer, it considers consumption mobility both in terms of time and space. In particular, electric vehicles and Data Centers processing tasks, as typical cases of mobile consumers and their impact on power grid, better energy usage efficiency, grid stability and picks shaving will be considered.

Fenix

Project full name:
Flexible Electricity Networks to Integrate the expected Energy Evolution
The objective of FENIX is to boost DER (Distributed Energy Resources) by maximizing their contribution to the electric power system. through aggregation into Large Scale Virtual Power Plants (LSVPP) and decentralized management. The project is organized in three phases: § Analysis of the DER contribution to the electrical system. assessed in two future scenarios (Northern and Southern) with realistic DER penetration; § Development of a layered communication and control solution validated for a comprehensive set of network use cases . including normal and abnormal operation.
