PLANGRIDEV

Project full name:
PLANGRIDEV
The main objective of this project is to design new planning rules and operational principles for the optimal integration of EV for different network topologies and with different levels of DER penetration such as PV, wind and solar energy and micro CHP.Tools and methods will be developed that permit DSOs to design new or adapt existing planning rules and investment strategies to ensure technical efficiency and the cost-effective evolution of infrastructures to facilitate the mass roll-out of EV in networks characterized by different levels of DER penetration.

IDE4L

Project full name:
IDE4L
The IDE4L project will define, develop and demonstrate the entire system of distribution network automation, IT systems and applications for active network management. Active distribution networks will utilize distributed energy resources (DERs) for network management including both real time operation and long-term network planning viewpoints.

DREAM

Project full name:
Distributed Renewable resources Exploitation in electric grids through Advanced heterarchical Management
The DREAM project will lay the foundations for a novel heterarchical management approach of complex electrical power grids, providing new mechanisms for consumer involvement in economical and ecological electricity use as well as stable and cost effective integration of distributed renewable resources.Applying the principles of autonomous agent-based systems to the control and management of the electricity distribution grid will allow the system to constantly adjust to current operational conditions and make it robust to exogenous disturbances.

MOBI.Europe

Project full name:
MOBI.Europe
MOBI.Europe will promote the full integration and interoperability of a cloud of ICT applications associated with electro-mobility, which were already developed and are in the process of being tested. It is built upon the Portuguese, the Irish, the city of Amsterdam (The Netherlands), and the Galician (Spain) ongoing electro-mobility initiatives. Involving all the relevant stakeholders, it will be capable of delivering comprehensive and innovative solutions to foster electro-mobility among European citizens.

SmartSpaces

Project full name:
SmartSpaces
The SMARTSPACES service will enable public authorities in Europe significantly to improve their management of energy in the buildings they occupy. The implementation of operational services includes 11 pilot sites with more than 550 buildings in 8 countries (United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Turkey, Serbia).

ENERsip

Project full name:
ENERgy Saving Information Platform for Generation and Consumption Networks
The main objective of the ENERsip project is to:Create an adaptive, intelligent and open service-oriented platform that allows end users to optimise, in near real-time, and to save energy by remotely monitoring, controlling and coordinating power generation and consumption in neighbourhoods with residential and commercial buildings. The objective is both short-term, with respect to development and testing of prototypes, and also long-term, with respect to adoption of service-oriented compliant and energy efficiency solutions.

E-BALANCE

Project full name:
Balancing energy production and consumption in energy efficient smart neighbourhoods
The problem space is multidimensional, but can be abstracted as a combination of social, economic and technical aspects.

SMARTV2G

Project full name:
SMARTV2G
The main objective targeted by the SMARTV2G Project aims at connecting the electric vehicle to the grid by enabling controlled flow of energy and power through safe, secure, energy efficient and convenient transfer of electricity and data. This will entail, among other specific objectives, the development of a new generation of technologies allowing the seamless and user-friendly energy load of electric vehicles in urban environments in the frame of an intelligent energy supply network managed by an embedded control system.

INERTIA

Project full name:
Integrating Active, Flexible and Responsive Tertiary Prosumers into a Smart Distribution Grid
INERTIA addresses challenge :“Data management infrastructures to allow electricity production and consumption to be measured, reported and controlled (and eventually credited or billed)” and aims to deliver an efficient Distribution Grid overlay control/management infrastructure that will maximize the response capacity of the vast small commercial prosumer base (tertiary buildings, offices etc), presenting incentives and delivering benefits through their automated active participation in the energy market.

ENERGOS

Project full name:
ENERGOS
Energos is a research project for developing knowledge and technologies to enable progress in the introduction of smart electricity grids. The main feature of these types of grids is their capacity to manage the operations of all their connected agents in real time, to ensure a sustainable, efficient and safe supply. The agents involved are the generators, which provide electricity to the grid; the consumers who use the energy; and those who perform both functions.
