DECOS

Project full name:
Distributed Energy Control System
DECOS is a new Low Voltage network control and management system that automatically detects the operational set up of the network, corrects its power factor and acquires integrated measures on power quality and other electrical parameters. All this allows for an active management of the grid, providing energy savings and increasing reliability and efficiency of the grid which are essential factors for the development of smart grids.

i-EM

Project full name:
Intelligence in Energy Management
i-EM offers complete ICT solutions for managing of dispersed generation and of energy storage process and for the control and optimization of energy consumption. The solutions which the start up offers to the market are built on their own innovative software. In comparison to the other technologies available on the market, this system includes some innovation facilities which give the providers and consumers the possibility of a bidirectional exchange of data with external players in total safety. This makes the system suitable for processing of data provided by third parties.

SportE2

Project full name:
Energy Efficiency for Sport Facilities
Sport2 develop energy efficient products and services dedicated to needs and unique characteristics of sport facilities. In short, we will excite the sport facility community about energy efficiency and develop ICT related energy consultancy services, hardware, and software to reduce energy consumption and emissions production by 30% in these facilities with a 5 year return on investment.

eDIANA

Project full name:
Embedded Systems for Energy Efficient Buildings
eDIANA addresses the need of achieving energy efficiency in buildings through innovative solutions based on embedded systems. The eDIANA Platform is a reference model-based architecture, implemented through an open middleware including specifications, design methods, tools, standards, and procedures for platform validation and verification. eDIANA Platform will enable the interoperability of heterogeneous devices at the Cell and MacroCell levels, and it will provide the hook to connect the building as a node in the producer/consumer electrical grid.

SmartC2Net

Project full name:
SmartC2Net
Goal of SmartC2Net is to enable robust smart grid control utilizing heterogeneous third-party communication infrastructures.

FINESCE

Project full name:
Future INtErnet Smart Utility ServiCEs
FINESCE builds on and extends the results of the FI-PPP FINSENY project to realise sustainable real time smart energy services. The consortium includes leading energy and ICT operators, manufacturers and service providers as well as research organisations and SMEs from all over Europe. Together, they contribute directly to strongly focused trials and business innovation. The project features a scale and scope ensuring the FINESCE results will drive the FI-WARE and Future Internet success and long-term exploitation internationally.

E2SG

Project full name:
Energy to Smart Grid (E2SG)
E2SG aims at developing and demonstrating key enabling technologies in the following fields1) node-grid interfaces – especially between generating nodes and the grid2) grid-sensing/metering – to collect the information needed for management and control3) over-the-grid communication – to effectively carry sensing and control information where it is needed grid-topology and control – to understand and design connection-induced behaviours improving reliability and to control (local) energy production/distribution by exploiting advanced storage policies and energy routing – to develop flexible and

eBADGE

Project full name:
eBADGE
The overall objective of the eBADGE project is to propose an optimal pan-European Intelligent Balancing mechanism, piloted on the borders of Austria, Italy and Slovenia, that is also able to integrate Virtual Power Plant Systems that can assist in the management of the electricity Transmission and Distribution grids in an optimized, controlled and secure manner.

Arrowhead

Project full name:
Arrowhead
Our society is facing both energy and competitiveness challenges. These challenges are tightly linked and require new dynamic interactions between energy producers and energy consumers, between machines, between systems, between people and systems, etc.

GREENDATANET

Project full name:
GREENDATANET
The GreenDataNet project aims at designing and validating a new, system-level optimisation solution allowing urban data centres to radically improve their energy and environmental performance. The objective is to develop a set of beyond state-of-the-art technologies that will allow urban data centres to reach 80% of renewable power and decrease their average Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) from 1.6-2.0 today to less than 1.3.
