SEESGEN-ict

Project full name:
Support Energy Efficiency in Smart GENeration grids through ICT
The main objectives of SEESGEN-ICT consist in producing a harmonized set of priorities to accelerate the introduction of ICT into the Smart Distributed Power Generation Grids, investigating requirements, barriers and proposing solutions. SEESGEN-ICT will produce policy recommendations, identify best practices and draw scenarios and roadmaps for the next generation of electric distribution network.

SAFEWIND

Project full name:
Multi-scale data assimilation, advanced wind modeling and forecasting with emphasis to extreme weather situations for a secure large-scale wind power integration
The project will develop: New forecasting methods for wind generation focusing on uncertainty and challenging situations/extremes. - Models for 'alarming': providing information for the level of predictability in the (very) short-term. - Models for 'warning': providing information for the level of predictability in the medium-term (next day(s)).

REFLEXE

Project full name:
Electric Flexibility Response for Smart Grids
Led by Veolia Environnement Research and Innovation, the Réflexe project consists in implementing a Smart Grid pilot for three and a half years in France's Provence-Alpes-Côted'Azur region. Its technical feasibility and advantages in terms of energy management and economic and environmental benefits will be therefore assessed on a relatively large scale. The new electric grid will integrate many diverse and widespread sources of decentralized generation, storage and consumption.

REALISEGRID

Project full name:
REALISEGRID
The objective of REALISEGRID is to develop a set of criteria. metrics. methods and tools to assess how the transmission infrastructure should be optimally developed to support the achievement of a reliable. competitive and sustainable electricity supply in the European Union (EU).

PREMIO

Project full name:
Production Répartie, Enr et MDE, Intégrées et Optimisées (Integration and Optimization of DG, DSM and Renewable Energies)
PREMIO is primarily a technical proposal created to address the following goals: – to develop a dynamic Demand-Response specifically for peak shaving purposes, – to increase the flexibility of the power system, – to promote a new energy culture which encourages energy efficiency, – to integrate Distributed Generation and particularly renewable energies, – to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from polluting power plants, especially during peak load times, – to manage regional electrical energy from a wide range of local actors.

PEGASE

Project full name:
Pan European Grid Advanced Simulation and state Estimation
PEGASE is a four year project dealing with the High and Extra High Voltage transmission and sub-transmission networks in Europe (designated as ETN) and implemented by a Consortium composed of 20 Partners including TSOs. expert companies and leading research centre’s in power system analysis and applied mathematics. Its overall objectives are to define the most appropriate state estimation, optimization and simulation frameworks. Their performance and dataflow requirements to achieve an integrated security analysis and control of the ETN.

OPTIMATE

Project full name:
An Open Platform to Test Integration in new MArkeT DEsigns of massive intermittent energy sources dispersed in several regional power markets
The project aims at developing a numerical test platform to analyse and to validate new market designs which may allow integrating massive flexible generation dispersed in several regional power markets

OpenNode

Project full name:
Open Architecture for Secondary Nodes of the Electricity SmartGrid#
OpenNode project is focused on the electrical distribution grid operation and explores answers on the three challenges introduced: • How to improve the distribution grid monitoring to cope with volatile states in the grid • How to integrate the “smart” substation automation devices to increase the efficiency of the distribution grid • How to interoperate with the different roles e.g. operation of the smart meters. power and grid operation

Open meter

Project full name:
Open Public Extended Network metering
The main objective of the OPEN meter project is to specify a comprehensive set of open and public standards for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) supporting multi commodities (Electricity, Gas, Water and Heat), based on the agreement of the most relevant stakeholders in the area.

OMERE (GE & IPERD)

Project full name:
Optimisation et Maîtrise des Energies renouvelables et du Réseau Electrique
The project OMERE (Optimization and Control of Renewable Energy and Electricity Network) aims to implement a full range of solutions for the optimization of electrical networks and improving reliability. It is based on the use and combination of interdependent technologies on renewable energy, storage, distribution and demand management. OMERE combines the scientific and sociological studies to validate the relevance of communication technologies on the network and their applications at all levels (producers, distributors, manufacturers, users and communities).
