Brittany is one of the regions in France with the most unbalanced electricity mix: only 15% of the consumed electricity is produced in the region. Hence Brittany has developed several initiatives, among them SOLENN, which aims at providing tools for consumers and local authorities to better handle their electricity demand (peak shaving), and better securing power supply, and coaching consumers by individual information.
