Prevailing Stage of Development:
Demonstration
Brief description and/or other information regarding the project:
SOGRID project is in this context of changing distribution and proposes to test in real conditions a communication architecture PLC G3 from the meter to the source post. several innovations technology (system-on-chip, hubs, couplers, integrated sensors, electronic meters) will be designed, developed, deployed and experienced in the project. The proposed new network infrastructure will provide performance management and communication over the current state of the art to includeto ensure the real-time control of power systems and low average voltage. The aim of SOGRID is to develop a comprehensive communication system that will allow the different devices on the network to communicate with each other. Specifically, the consortium will develop a next generation integrated chip using the PLC protocol to enable the transmission of digital information on the grid. From this a new international standard is also anticipated to emerge.
