Smart and Cool Project is a research project aimed at creating the right knowledge and the right regulatory tools to balance electricity consumption in supermarkets with electricity production. The goal is to balance consumption and production, which helps to save resources both in supermarkets and in electricity production.The project is affiliated with 4 PhD students and a number of researchers in universities and in private together to work on the four work packages (WP) in the project: WP1 - Control methods for energy balancing via consumption in supermarket refrigeration system WP2 - Control methods for energy balancing mellan production and consumption WP3 - Control methods for Decentralized electricity production on smart grids WP4 - Large-scale økonomisk model predictive control strategies for smart energy systemsThe anticipated benefits of the project are a number of tools to create a balance between consumption and production of electricity. Tools which are expected to subsequently be disseminated from products in supermarkets to other application areas.
