The main general objectives of the research program can be listed as follows: create an innovation foundation for new solutions. products and services to enable the implementation of the Smart Grids vision; demonstrations of solutions in real environment. not limited to Finnish grids. are an essential part of the research; the relevance of the research is measured on global basis. i.e. the targeted solutions shall be applicable on the international market; cultivate the competence accumulation in the research and business environments to secure the long term competitiveness; international research cooperation is a pre-requisite to achieve the objectives
