ORIRIS

Start and end dates:
September, 2014 to December, 2016
Prevailing Stage of Development:
Research & Development
Brief description and/or other information regarding the project:
OSIRIS is an innovation project to develop knowledge, tools and new equipment to optimize the supervision of the smart grid we are deploying in the Spanish Smart Meter roll out. Objectives: -Maximize the functionalities, benefits and data from the Smart Grids deployed. -Ensure that the communication network built on top of the electrical network is working properly in order to monitor the electrical network itself. -Identify and minimize the root causes that provoke communication malfunctioning and errors. -Early identification of losses of supply in MV-LV networks to increase the quality of supply. -Reduction of technical and not-technical losses in LV networks. Scope: -Analysis and classification of error in the communications. -Define the minimum number of smart meters to monitor the state and status of the whole LV network. -Test new functionalities in smart meters that should be available when the roll out ends. -Evolution of Energy Balance, state estimation algorithms and calculation of losses in LV networks.
